Beings inspired  by The Cenci by Antonin Artaud  is danced by Flavia Ghisalberti (Switzerland) and Ezio Tangini (Italy)

Music by Frank Heierli (Switzerland)

The approach of Antonin Artaud (1896-1948) to the tragedy of Beatrice Cenci (1577-1599), takes place through works inspired by the bloody chronicle of parricide, after reading the two works by Stendhal and Bisshe Percy Shelley.

'The characters are not men but beings, great incarnated forces; just enough humanity remains to render them plausible from the psychological point of view'. Antonin Artaud

'In the non-verbal performance Beings, the senses become superior to the mind. The performers will evoke the spectators sensitivity for the individual atmosphere of the show - which is, due to its improvisational character, unique in each performance. In a flood of senses, the audience is confronted with its deepest fears, emotions and obsessions. In Beings you cannot just sit and watch - you will become a part of the performance, a part of the atmosphere'.
