Il 27 settembre scorso è stato rappresentato nel Teatro Giuseppe Verdi di Busseto Un ballo in maschera, Fabio Biondi ha diretto l’Orchestra Giovanile Italiana e il Coro del Teatro Regio, un cast di giovane cantanti ha dato vita alla messa in scena con la regia di Daniele Menghini.

Con Le Fil (in italiano La misura del dubbio, in inglese An Ordinary Case), Daniel Auteuil, più noto come attore che come regista, realizza un dramma giudiziario che riesce a combinare la profondità del cinema francese con la drammaticità di certi film americani ambientati nei tribunali (i cosiddetti legal thrillers).

Botero, l’esaltazione gentile del volume e del colore

A Roma Palazzo Bonaparte ospita dal 17 settembre la mostra dedicata all’arte di Fernando Botero fino al 19 gennaio: è la prima e più completa realizzata in Italia a un anno dalla morte. L’esposizione è curata da Lina Botero, figlia dell’artista, e Cristina Carrillo de Albornoz, grande esperta della sua opera, e illustra più di 60 anni di carriera artistica con oltre 120 opere tra dipinti, acquerelli, sanguigne, carboncini, sculture e alcuni straordinari inediti, prestati eccezionalmente solo in questa occasione La mostra è prodotta e organizzata da Arthemisia in collaborazione con la Fernando Botero Foundation e in partnership con la Fondazione Terzo Pilastro Internazionale e Poema.

Festival Verdi di Parma. Il Macbeth in francese ed il potere secondo Verdi

Al Teatro Regio di Parma, gremito in ogni ordine di posto, lo scorso 26 settembre per l’inaugurazione del Festival Verdi, è andata in scena la versione in francese del Macbeth di Giuseppe Verdi del 1865. Gli interpreti sono stati lungamente applauditi alla fine dello spettacolo. Il sottotitolo del Festival Verdi 2024 è Potere e politica e i titoli che sono proposti più meno rientrano in questo schema: Macbeth, Un ballo in maschera, La battaglia di Legnano e Attila.

In un suo saggio George Steiner ha sostenuto che l’essenza dell’opera letteraria deve misurarsi con il mistero del divino e della sofferenza umana. Appartiene a queste opere ambiziose e poeticamente riuscite il libro del premio Nobel per la letteratura 2023, Jon Fosse, intitolato Melancholia I-II e pubblicato di recente dalla casa editrice La Nave di Teseo.

Butoh Independent Festival in Amsterdam. Call for performers

Call for performers: I am glad to inform you that a butoh festival will take place on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th March 2017 at Teatro Munganga, Schinkelhavenstraat 27 1075 VP Amsterdam. Your participation as dancer is kindly requested! You can send the proposal about your work at eziotangini@gmail.com.

The duration of each performance will be around 20 minutes.
About 10-12 performances are expected to be produced in the two days of the butoh independent festival.
It will be produced without any public or private grant.
The performers will receive part of the tickets sold divided in equal parts.
Only the performances will be considered as payment. If someone will bring one musician, it will be up to the performer to find the way to divide with the musician the amount received.

10-12 works will be selected among the proposals received and your participation will be confirmed soon.
You will know all the details of the festival and the next steps later on.
The dead line for applications is on Saturday 29th October.

31 applications arrived from many parts of Europe, 2,5 times more than the capacity of the festival.
12 works will be presented, with 18 dancers from Amsterdam, Leiden, Rotterdam, Berlin, Norway, Paris, Wroclaw.
But looking at the origin of the dancers based in Amsterdam, I have to say that other nationalities will be represented at the festival: Morocco, Greece and again Poland and Norway/Danemark/Germany.
You will receive the full list of the participants later on.
We will have one meeting at the Teatro Munganga on Wednesday 23rd November at 12,00. The dancers from Amsterdam and possibly from Rotterdam and Leiden are kindly invited to be there. We will give a look at the theater and we will talk about the aspects and needs of the festival.
A confirmation of the presence of the dancers of Holland at the meeting of the 23rd November is kindly awaited.
